The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This means them little choice but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.
